Questions

What counts as company use?

Any use by or for a company, organization or public body: internal systems, products you sell, and sites you build for clients. A developer building a system for a client needs a license for that client domain.

How is an intranet counted?

An intranet installation site counts as one domain: the host name your users open (for example report.corp.local or an internal server name). Each separate site needs its own license.

What happens after the annual term or the perpetual update period?

Reports keep working either way; nothing on screen changes. After an annual term the library prints a notice in the developer console until the license is renewed. A perpetual key keeps working forever with the versions released within its update period; newer versions print a console notice until updates are renewed.

What does the library send to freereport.app?

On public domains, once a day: the domain, the page address without query string, the version and whether a key is set. Never report data or anything about your users. Local and private network addresses send nothing.

How do I get the Windows program?

Download the signed installer from this page (Windows 10/11, no administrator rights needed). The first time a site asks to print, the program asks you to allow that site. It works without a key for evaluation; company use needs a license that includes the Windows program.
